Dr. Mosser’s Current Practice,
The Gender Confirmation Center

In 2013, Dr. Mosser (he/him) opened the Gender Confirmation Center, leaving his private practice of cosmetic plastic surgeries to exclusively dedicate himself to gender-affirming surgical procedures for trans, non-binary, gender expansive and gender-non conforming patients. In his current practice in San Francisco, he is joined by three other board certified plastic surgeons: Dr. Ellie Zara Ley (she/her), Dr. Alexander R. Facque (he/him), and Dr. Daniel Jacobs (he/him). Thanks to the team’s expertise, The Gender Confirmation Center is able to offer the following services to gender-diverse patients:

Dr. Mosser and the rest of the staff at The Gender Confirmation Center pride themselves on being at the cutting edge of practicing gender-affirming surgeries for patiens who identify as non-binary, genderfluid, gender expansive, agender, transfeminine, transmasculine and gender-non confirming–and other patients whose identities and transition goals transcend the gender binary. Since Dr. Mosser is skilled in a wide variety of techniques, for every individual patient the team is able to lay out all possible options so that surgery can be personalize according to their needs and preferences.

The Gender Confirmation Center strongly believes in every gender-diverse person’s right to feel comfortable in their own body. As a result, the practice uses an Informed Consent model for all procedures and does not discriminate on the basis of Body Mass Index (BMI). Moreover, the Center has been able to successfully secure insurance coverage for gender-affirming procedures for over 90% of its patients thanks to its seasoned insurance advocacy team.

All medical and administrative staff with the Gender Confirmation Center, even those who do not interact with patients, recieve transgender cultural comptency training. From the Center’s website to the office experience, Dr. Mosser and his team provide a supportive environment for patients to ask questions and learn about best practices so that they can make the decisions most right for them.

Dr. Mosser is committed to empowering patients through information to make sure they are confident about the procedures from the very start and are aware of all the support that the Center’s office can provide.
