Some of the common side affects associated with this procedure are swelling, soreness, and post-operative fatigue. Risks of this procedure are similar to those of Liposuction (as the procedure itself uses liposuction) and can include things like asymmetry, lumpiness, and fat necrosis, which is where the fat cells do not take, and instead may form into scar tissue. It’s rare to have a serious problem such as an infection, blood clot (DVT) issue or any issues with anesthesia. Talk to your doctor to assess your individual risk if you have any concerns about your particular situation.
During a consultation with your surgeon, always make sure that risks and benefits are discussed in detail so as to make you entirely comfortable with the procedure.
